Admission Requirements

The online Bachelor of General Studies degree program is designed as a pathway for students with college credit to complete their bachelor’s degree while balancing other responsibilities. This program is not open to first-time freshmen.

If you have never attended college or have fewer than 45 credit hours, explore our Health Promotion and Wellness, Health Services Administration, or Criminal Justice degrees.

You must provide transcripts from all previous institutions and pay a $25 application fee.

Transfer students

You will need to provide transcripts from all previous institutions along with your application.

For the Bachelor of General Studies, all applicants must be eligible to return to the most recent institution attended, and have either:

earned an associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution,

OR have earned 45 hours or more with:

A cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher (excluding developmental/remedial courses), AND
Successful completion of non-remedial college-level freshman English and non-remedial college algebra.

Re-entry students

If you have previously attended UL 69��ý, you’re a re-entry student.

You must:

Submit transcripts of all academic work since your last date of enrollment at UL 69��ý.
Have at least a 1.5 cumulative GPA.

Course Requirements

As a general studies online student, you'll have access to the full catalog of online courses to customize your curriculum and create an interdisciplinary degree plan that reflects your interests and goals.

You must complete 120 hours, including transfer credits, to earn your degree.

Tuition

Online undergraduate students have the benefit of $380-per-credit, flat-rate tuition. Your total tuition will depend on the remaining credits you need to complete your degree after applying eligible transfer credits.

Eligibility

Because courses in this program will only be available online, the program may not be available to all applicants. The University of Louisiana at 69��ý and its online programs must be in compliance in every state where a student is located. International students also may not be eligible. According to U.S. immigration regulations, F-1 students cannot pursue online degrees; international students in other visa categories (i.e., H-4, L2) are exempt from this restriction.
